This Darshabari mosque can be seen near the border between Bangladesh and India at Firozpur, Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district. There are ruins of a madrassa near this mosque. This madrasa is known as Darasabari Madrasa. Darasa is an Arabic word, it means reading. It is believed that the mosque may have been named after the name of this madrasa. The mosque is a unique feature of the Sultani architecture and decoration. The mosque was built in rectangularly. It was about 98 feet in length and about 57 feet in width.At present the mosque has no roof. Long ago its roof collapsed. There were 6 domes in the mosque. The present dome does not exist. There was a balcony on the east side of the main hall of the mosque. There are 7 entrance paths in the corridor. There are 7 more entrances to the main hall after the corridor. In the same way there are four more entrance paths on the north and south sides along the balcony. The western wall of the mosque had seven beautiful mihrabs. The central mihrab among these mihrabs is relatively big. You will see terracotta ornaments in the mihrabs. There are flowers, trailer-designs. There was a Zenana gallery in the mosque. Zenna Gallery is a special arrangement for women's prayers in the mosque. At the 4th corner of the main chamber of the mosque there were four towers and two towers at the two corners of the corridor. According to the inscription of the mosque, under the Sultani regime, Sultan Yusuf Shah, son of Sultan Barabak Shah, built this mosque in 1479.
